Review
Plant a tree, stay with the task, and leave the phone alone. Setup is almost nothing. It will not take your tasks — you can name a session and that is all — so as a capture system it is the wrong tool. The game wears off. It is a good lock for a block of time, and a bad place to decide what that block is for.
What holds up
- Starting a focus block takes seconds
- The phone becomes slightly harder to pick up
- There is no workspace to maintain
Where it breaks
- It does not hold a task list
- The trees stop mattering after the novelty fades
