Review
Auto-scheduling promises to end the calendar fight. In practice you spend the week renegotiating what the algorithm moved. Setup asks for a lot of your life up front, and a changed meeting can reshuffle the day into something you do not recognize. It can hold a narrow set of dated tasks. It is exhausting as a home for every open loop.
What holds up
- Dated work lands on a calendar without dragging
- Conflicts become visible fast
- Useful when the work is mostly meetings plus a few tasks
Where it breaks
- Replanning churn is the daily experience
- Loose tasks get a time you did not choose
